What this website collects

Nothing you type. There is no contact form, no newsletter sign-up, no chat widget and no account on this website. It never asks for your name, your company or your email address.

We use one measurement tool, Vercel Web Analytics — run by the same company that already hosts this site, so it introduces no new one. It counts a page view without cookies and without any identifier that could follow you to another website. Each view records the page, the page you came from, the country and region the request came from, and your device type, browser and operating system. Vercel states that a view is not tied to your IP address, and that the short-lived value used to recognise a repeat visit is discarded after 24 hours. We use it to see which pages are read, and for nothing else. There is no advertising here, and no third party is permitted to follow you from here to other websites.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies of its own. None for advertising, none that identify you, and none for the measurement described above — it counts page views without them. Your browser may remember which of the two languages you chose, and nothing else.

What our host records

Like every website, this one is served by a host, Vercel, which keeps short-lived technical logs of each request: the IP address it came from, the page asked for, the time, and the browser's user-agent string. They exist to serve pages, stop abuse and diagnose faults. We do not use them to build a profile of you and we do not combine them with anything else.

Where you leave this website

Three destinations do collect information, and each is governed by its own policy rather than by this one:

• The customer portal at app.otssteelsolutions.com. Asking for a quote happens there, not here, and it has its own privacy policy setting out what it collects and why.
• Calendly, if you book a call. Calendly receives the name, email address and time you give it, under its own privacy policy.
• LinkedIn and Instagram. Following those links hands you to those companies, under theirs.

Your rights

Under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask for it in a structured and commonly used format, and withdraw a consent you have given. Because this website holds nothing, such a request will almost always concern the customer portal or work we have done for you. Write to us and we will answer within the timeframe the law requires.

Who is responsible

The Responsable de la protection des renseignements personnels, the person in charge of the protection of personal information, can be reached at the address below. We publish the role rather than a name so the contact point stays correct when people change.

Applicable law

This policy is governed by the laws of Quebec and the applicable laws of Canada.
